On-site building surveys

The surveying and land registry law in North Rhine-Westphalia requires a new building or a building with a modified ground plan to be officially surveyed on site. This on-site building survey must be arranged by the landowner.

On-site surveying serves to keep official maps continuously up to date. The data thereby acquired can also be used, for example, in navigation systems.

In NRW the on-site surveying of buildings can be undertaken only by a publically appointed surveyor or a land registry office.
